My newborn photography service in Floyd, VA gives you soft, sleepy portraits of your baby's very first days. I handle every tiny stretch and yawn with slow, gentle hands, right in the comfort of your own home or you can come to my studio! Siblings, parents and your pets are always welcome in the frame too.
Newborn Sessions:

Babies sleep their deepest in the first two weeks and they are still tiny and new, so this is the best window for photos! I can come to your home, you can come to my studio, or we can meet up outside if the weather permits! My studio has a gorgeous outdoor space as well if you’d like the option for both!
A Warm Room and Slow Pace
Tired parents don't need a rushed session on top of an already exhausting week. I build in time for feeding, soothing, and cuddle breaks, so nobody feels watched by the clock. A quiet setup keeps distractions low and helps your baby settle into that deep, sleepy calm.
These session are centered around baby in natural posing. Them laying in their crib, or curled up in your arms, every pose I use is natural, supported and slow, with steady hands and constant care for your little one. I’m not one to put your baby into many forced positions and they are in your arms more than not.

Book while you're still pregnant, ideally by your second trimester, so I can hold your window. I plan the actual session around your due date and your baby's first two weeks.

I do minimal posing for newborn sessions. They are very lifestyle driven. But yes, every pose I use is supported and slow, with my hands steady and close the whole time. Many of the poses are done in your arms or on a bed. Your baby's safety and comfort always come first.

Yes, of course! Family newborn sessions are very common and so so precious! I’ve even had grandparents join in and let me tell you, those are some of the sweetest photos!
