I’ve been a photographer in Floyd VA for 10 years now, and specialize in capturing real and authentic moments! I’m obsessed with film and anything that sparks nostalgia.

We love movement, laughs, chill bumps, a muddy wedding dress, windy hair, barefoot kids, dancing, chasing, exploring and flower picking here!

I’m an embracing chaos, outfit changes in the middle of the woods, skipping under the early moon, running into the sun, and the quiet hugs kind of photographer.

After the months of planning, the excitement and laughs, after the cake is gone, and the music fades your wedding photos will be what takes you back. Tiny memories to hold in your hand that make you feel exactly as you did that day. Surrounded by your people and full of love, laughs, tears - my job as your wedding photographer is to document every authentic moment so you can simply be in them. Ensuring that you get to be as present as possible on your special day is so important to me. It’s an honor to be trusted to document these happy moments for you.

A second photographer is always provided, as well as timeline assistance leading up to your big day! Silver and Gold Packages also include an engraved USB & Keepsake Box.

Maternity Photography

Pregnancy is one of my favorite things to photograph. It’s so raw, powerful and magical getting to capture the beauty of the beginning of motherhood. This quiet special time of before. As a maternity photographer, I pull a lot of inspiration from mother-nature as I document, the bud of a flower, shadows from a growing tree, the glowing light of the sun. My goal is to make you feel as magical, powerful and beautiful as you are!

Your session can be throughout some the great natural backdrops of Southwest Virginia. Something simple like a quiet field, a mountainous overlook along the Blue Ridge Parkway, or even Downtown Floyd if you want a more urban/small-town vibe to your photos.

If you’re not sure what to wear, or you don’t want to buy a dress that you’ll only wear once, then my client closet could be perfect for you! I have a small assortment of dresses that are perfect for maternity with a variety of earthy colors and textures.

Newborn Photography

Newborn days are tender, tiring, and go by so unfairly fast. As your newborn photographer, I take special care to make sure your newborn photos document all the tiny details. The peach fuzz on their shoulders, their tiny ears and toes, the way they hold onto your fingers - all the real stuff that you’ll want to remember after the sleepless nights have come and gone, and the tears from being so overwhelmed have passed. As a mom, I get it and have been in your shoes so my promise when documenting this time for you, is that I have future you in mind. (:

These sessions are relaxed and flexible to allow time for feeding, soothing, changing, and whatever the baby needs. I also offer sessions in the hospital (fresh 48), or even a couple weeks after birth if you need time to get your bearings, it’s totally up to you and what is best for your family. Whether you’re looking for an in-home lifestyle type session or you would rather make use of my photography studio in Floyd VA, I’m so excited to document this precious time for you!

I’m not going to tell you to look at me and say cheese, I’m going to give you some fun prompts to “act” out to evoke those raw - real moments. One of my favorite session types to photograph are creative portrait sessions! They are just so much fun, as we get to be wildly creative and truly create art. Being a photographer, I see such profound beauty in each person I meet. These sessions are so self empowering too! If you are wanting to capture yourself in a completely different light and create art, this is the perfect session type for you!

I love using disco balls, old bathtubs, flowers, crazy outfits, and well honestly literally anything weird and out of the box!! My studio here in Floyd, VA, is where all the magic happens, whether inside, or out in my big open pasture!
